Privacy Policy

At Dressed In Lucy, we are 100% committed to protecting the privacy and security of our customers and site visitors. The DIL team members are customers themselves, of both DIL and other internet sites so we appreciate and respect how important privacy is. Below we outline how we use the data you provide us;

Delivery: Your information is passed on to the couriers in order for them to deliver your goods. Supplying us with a mobile number and email address means the courier is able to contact you with delivery updates only.

Emails: We send you service emails regarding the status of your order. You will only receive promotional emails if you sign up to our newsletter. We will also use your email address for customer service purposes to contact you regarding your order or any queries you may have.

Newsletter: If you sign up to our newsletter we are able to send you information regarding the latest styles and discounts. Only your email address is used through our third party email provider.

Fraud Protection and Detection: To prevent fraud against yourself and DIL.

Advertising: We show you DIL adverts as you browse the web to show you the latest deals.

Products: We find out what you like so we can make sure these styles are stocked and we can stay ahead of the competition.

Gender: We use this information to show you to the right products.

Payment Information: In order to take your payment and initiate a refund we will need to access your payment information. All payments are taken through a third party company so we do not store your payment data.

Purchase History & Saved Items: We need this to see what you have purchased in order to give refunds. We also need to access to your basket and saved items in order to fulfil our contract of sale with you.

Location & Devices: This includes your IP address and the type of device you use to place your order. We access the IP address to detect fraud and make sure you are getting the maximum experience when browsing the website (ie currency). The device type shows us from a marketing perspective where to make improvements with the shopper experience (ie make the mobile version more shoppable).

We do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party – including your name, address, email address or credit card information. We want to earn and maintain your trust, and we believe this is absolutely essential in order do that.

If you no longer wish to receive marketing messages from us please simply click on unsubscribe at the footer of your email. Alternatively contact our customer services team at customerservices@dressedinlucy.com.

 We’ll hold on to your information for as long as you have your account, or as long as is needed to be able to provide the services to you, or (in the case of any contact you may have with our Customer Care team) for as long as is necessary to provide support-related reporting and trend analysis only.

 If reasonably necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions, we may also keep hold of some of your information as required, even after you have closed your account or it is no longer needed to provide the services to you.

As a customer you have various rights regarding your data and how it is used. You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, and the right to request we stop processing or collecting your data in some circumstances. It is within your rights to request we stop direct marketing emails by unsubscribing or emailing our team. If you feel your data is being used without consent you have the right to complain to your data protection regulator.
