Festival Beauty Trends

Heading to Coachella? Parklife? Leeds? Hideout? Whichever festival you're planning on going to this year, we've got the low down on the festival beauty trends you need to know about. These trends have been inspired by mainly Instagram and Pinterest. We've put our faves together, so take a look and get inspo for your hair and make up looks to help you standout...

Braids

What's a festival without a braided hairstyle? Braided hair will keep your tresses in place and out of your face. The best thing about this style is that it doesn't need to be neat. If you're not the best at braiding, wear your hair loose and add small plaits throughout to achieve a boho inspired look. Accessorise by adding hair rings or a flower head garland.

Glitter

It's no secret that glitter is a big festival beauty trend. Whether you're planning on applying it to your face, eyes, lips or hair - go wild. Experiment with colours and textures and shapes. Stars and hearts are super cute for festivals. Remember, there's no such thing as too much glitter when it comes to festival season!

Buns

We can thank the Spice Girls for this trend which was big in the 90's. This hairstyle will keep your hair out of your face so it won't annoy you when you're dancing in a field all day and night. Just part your hair in the middle or even try a zig zag parting for extra nostalgic vibes.

Face jewels

This has been a big trend since the likes of The Gypsy Shrine made it more accessible for us to buy. The look has been seen on the likes of Perri Edwards and other famous faces. They can be applied to your face or body... Or both to give you that ultimate summer festival look.

Pastel hair

We love pastel hair for summer and even more so for festival season. Seen on the Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian and blogger Nyane. Think ice cream hues like peaches, lilacs, pinks and blues. Not brave enough to actually dye your hair? Try something less permanent like hair chalk or spray which usually washes out after a few washes. Check the instructions on your chosen product before applying.
